Went for brunch at 1130a on a Saturday. Nearby street parking is available in two hour blocks. Order food at the counter and seat yourself. Indoor booths are spacious and outdoor seating is also available.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bawk! by Urban Roots in Sacramento, CA, and it was an exceptional experience. This spot offers a fun and vibrant urban atmosphere that immediately sets the mood for a fantastic meal.Despite being a counter-order establishment, the staff's attentiveness stood out as they consistently checked on our satisfaction throughout the meal. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the chicken sandwich. We opted for the maple hot version, and it was a delightful blend of flavors. The slaw and pickles complemented the juicy chicken perfectly, offering a balance of heat without overwhelming the taste buds.The fries were a delightful surprise with their crispy texture, and the chicken and waffles were unlike any I've had before. Three huge wings accompanied by a heavenly maple butter to pair with the maple syrup made for a memorable combination. It's safe to say this was close to the best chicken I've ever had.In addition to the fantastic food, the overall cleanliness of the place, including the restrooms, was noteworthy. The brunch is absolutely delicious here, I highlyyyy recommend the blueberry pancakes, my friend and I said they straight up taste like a dessert. 10/10 super tasty!

We were a large group on a busy Sunday, and the service was still excellent! Cudos to the crew! I got the chicken and waffles. I'm not a fan of the cornmeal waffle, but it was still good. Definitely would go back to try other dishes.

The fried catfish is really good, the fried chicken is really good when you eat it there fresh and hot, later when it's cold or try to reheat it loses some sparkle. I also prefer my fried chicken with a little more seasoning, french fries are nice and crispy, the cornbread is very good. I love the cold water decanter for your table. The bar makes a decent drink. Be sure to ask about the hidden room.
