Feedback
Nestled in a hotel in Boston's theater district, this restaurant provides a tranquil dining experience with a full-service atmosphere. While the menu offers a range of options, including clam chowder, crab cakes, and lobster ravioli, diners often find the food inconsistent—some dishes are praised for quality, while others lack depth and originality. Service generally receives high marks, with attentive staff enhancing the overall experience. Though the prices may be steep for portion sizes, the restaurant remains a convenient choice for those seeking a calm meal away from the hustle of nearby dining halls, ideal for pre-theater gatherings.
We had a late dinner at this restaurant since we were staying at the hotel. The food was decent but nothing special, and the service left a lot to be desired. However, the Boston cream pie for dessert was truly disappointing. It was painful to be served something so subpar in Boston. The dessert was a modern rendition shaped in a round mold with a hard chocolate shell, filled with a gritty and flavorless cream, all topped off with a blueberry drizzle (blueberry? Really?). We didn't try any other desserts, so I can't comment on the rest of the menu.
Nice service. Convenient. Food is overpriced for what you get. Chicken wings and cheesecake were good. Vegetable soup was so so, and steak was overcooked.
The service was outstanding, but the food was just average. I don’t think it’s worth the price, which is quite disappointing, especially given the restaurant's location in the heart of the theatre district.
Clam chowder was delicious, but the spinach salad with orzo and feta was awful. The balsamic dressing was very salty, as was the feta (saltier than feta *should* be). It's also very pricey. $6 for a cup of coffee? Really?? Service was very good, however.
