Southern Bell's - Cross Plains

This is the best barbecue spot in the area. The staff is very friendly and always has a smile!

We had a sizable order that I felt a bit guilty about, but it actually arrived quickly (even though my kids thought it took a long time lol). I really enjoyed the mix of shredded chicken or pork with beef, salad, corn chips, and cheese at Müll. I topped it with BBQ sauce and sour cream, making it probably my favorite dish. The corn nuggets were also tasty, even my pickiest child enjoyed them.

I am so disappointed. This restaurant used to be amazing, it was the only place we would ever go to. Everything has changed now, even the taste of the meat is different. I can't quite put into words how disappointed I am. I know the owners have changed, but we have been back since then. Will they ever return to their former glory?

Southern Bell’s BBQ is a definite “must try”. The BBQ was so tender, with a delicious smokey taste, and was wonderful with or without the sauce. Both the mild and hot BBQ sauces were thick and flavorful. The BBQ baked beans were awesome with a great bbq flavor. And, if you like vinegar cole slaw, you will not be disappointed with the taste. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Good BBQ place to be located in a small town. Love their banana pudding and chicken plate.
