Leo’s ist weltweit berühmt für sein musikalisches Erbe und die einzigartigen, lebhaften Musikabende. „Leo Brennan selbst veranstaltete über die Jahre hinweg seine berühmten Liederabende, bei denen Jung und Alt zusammenkamen, um die Unterhaltung des Abends zu genießen und mitzumachen.“ In den letzten Jahren hat seine Tochter Moya Brennan die äußerst erfolgreiche „Clubeo“-Nacht ins Leben gerufen, die eine Plattform bietet, auf der wieder Jung und Alt die Bühne betreten, um ihr Können zu zeigen und zu unterhalten. An den „Clubeo“-Nächten tritt eine Gastband oder ein Musiker auf, wobei im Laufe der Jahre bereits Größen wie Brian Kennedy, Phil Coulter und Clann Mic Ruairí aufgetreten sind, um nur einige zu nennen. Kombiniert man diesen Abend mit den regelmäßigen Balladen-, Traditions- und Ceilí-Nächten, ist ein Besuch bei Leo’s ein absolutes Muss.

We visited the tavern as part of a cruise ship excursion into Killybegs. The bus ride took a while but, it was well worth it! The folks who run the tavern were amazing! They treated us to some traditional Irish music, a jig, some entertaining stories and good old camaraderie. It was a fantastic trip. If you’re in the area, this is one place you must stop at; I wish we’d had more time.
I came here a few weeks ago for the first time to see Moya Brennan and Ralph McTell perform. I 've returned with my Mum for an Easter Monday dinner. It is a bit like a pilgrimage for me because as teenager I avidly followed Clannad and Steeleye Span as Folk Rock groups. This tavern does not disappoint. It is the Home of the Brennan family which evolved into the iconic award-winning band Clannad. The minute you walk through the door you receive a thousand welcomes Cead Mile Failtè ! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. On a Clubeo night once a month, they feature many local musicians, a fab atmosphere and a brisk bar and food service. The menu, food and service today has been perfect. It is delicious pub food, piping hot, tasty and local produce. I whole-heartedly recommend Leo 's. Come to The best known pub in Donegal and the home of Clannad. You won 't be disappointed.
A beautiful place to have a meal. The food was so nice and staff were so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back. A gem indeed
What a little gem, tucked away off the main road. The food was delicious, especially the roast beef, which melted in the mouth. The staff were extremely efficient and very hospitable ! Will most certainly visit again when I’m next in Donegal !
