Welcome, we are accepted at 1:45 pm, we have eaten well with helpful staff, we have had a walking problem that caused a person to fall, but we have been well helped and we have left in good conditions. View all feedback.
Reception and decor are pleasant. The location is ideal. Chorizo mussels were good. Grill is cooked with flame but without seasoning. fries are a bit eccentric frozen once cooked. prefer to stop for lunch to enjoy the panorama
Fries were good, but I would rather eat my tormat instead of the entrecote that served them. explained that the meat was very hard, but waitresses did nothing with it. a scandal of our understanding. mustels with riders were good.
After an 11 hour drive from The Aquitaine region we arrived in Mensil-Val at around 9pm, tired and hungry. We dropped our bags at the hotel and walked down to the seafront in the hope of getting a meal. Imagine our dismay, on getting there...and the sign outside saying Complet !! There didn't appear to be any other restaurants around within walking distance (we'd seen enough of the car for one day) so my husband went inside and asked if they had a table for 3. The restaurant was indeed very busy so we didn't hold much hope. But they were great, they asked us to wait just a few minutes while they cleared the table. It was such a relief. The main focus seemed to be the eat as much as you like buffet, which seemed to have a reasonable amount of options but there was also a variety of other options on the menu which weren't on the buffet, which isn't something you often get at home, it's buffet or nothing. The food was reasonably priced and was of a nice quality. We had desserts, coffees and a Pastis to finish off the night and indeed our holiday, yet considering our late arrival, we didn't feel at all rushed. The staff were very pleasant and helped when our limited French wasn't understandable !?!? On receiving the bill we realised that they had not included all our desserts, so we pointed it out to the waitress who came back with a revised bill and pointed out that due to our honesty they had removed the cheese platter that we had ordered. We felt that this was a lovely touch that wasn't expected, we were just being honest. Nice restaurant, right on the beach, just what we wanted.
Good experience, we all ate very well. The restaurant is placed in front of a breathtaking view, the decor is nice and the pleasant service.
Super view, quality service and very good kitchen!!
