What Dar Fortenberry doesn't like about Luigi's Place:
Not great value for the money. Ice cream sundae costs twice what it was worth. One cup of ice cream, one dollop of strawberries, one little teaspoon of nuts. I paid for extra nuts, so I also got one little teaspoon on the bottom. When I went back to the window, the server loudly and rudely called the owner to the front, and he proceeded to tell me that was all that was alloted. $6.50 down the drain. That's fine. Keep... The value for money at this restaurant leaves much to be desired. I ordered the ice cream sundae, which I found to be overpriced for what it included. For $6.50, I received just a cup of ice cream, a small amount of strawberries, and a few nuts. After paying extra for more nuts, I was still disappointed to find just a tiny spoonful at the bottom of the cup. When I went back to the counter to express my concerns, the server called the owner over quite loudly. The owner simply told me that was all I was entitled to, which was quite disappointing. While I can accept the small portion of nuts, I won’t be returning as a customer.
This restaurant is a must-visit! The food is absolutely incredible and definitely worth the wait. Make sure you're hungry when you go, as the portions are generous. I would rate them a perfect 10 if I could. I completely disagree with the reviews claiming the food is greasy or that the shrimp is rubbery—everything is freshly made and delicious. As for the 25-minute wait, they clearly state that everything is made to order. It's a husband-and-wife team running the place, and they are fantastic. Don't let the negative reviews discourage you; this was our first visit, and it certainly won’t be our last!
Your website indicates that you're open until 9 PM, but when I called at 6:53 PM, there was no answer. I really enjoy dining at your restaurant, but I find it challenging to keep up with your changing hours!
The fries were exceptional too. Honestly, the sandwich was the best I've had in 30 years—truly a top contender. The service was excellent as well. I will definitely be back. If you're in Crewe or just passing through, be sure to stop by!
This place serves fresh and delicious food! The family that operates the restaurant is very friendly as well. I will definitely return whenever I’m in the area.
