What User doesn't like about Savannah's Country Buffet:
The restaurant offers delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and ample seating. The price of the buffet menu has increased since the pandemic. However, during our last visit a few days ago, we noticed that there were many flies buzzing around our table while we were eating. View all feedback.
I have multiple food seasoning allergies, and so eating out is very rare for our family. Most times when we do eat out, I can only eat plain lettuce with my own homemade dressing. Occasionally a cook or owner will offer to clean the grill and cook a plain piece of meat an unseasoned veggie for me, and that is awesome! But our server and cook at Savannah's literally had me in tears. We went for the seafood buffet (which we all love), and I asked the server if she could tell me what seasonings were used. She promptly brought out the cook who reminded me of a kind grandmother- and she calmly went through and explained what I needed to know. She then added that she would be happy to grill anything on the buffet separately if I needed her to.It turned out all I could eat off the buffet was lettuce, olives, and sunflower seeds. The server asked me what I could eat grilled, and I told her any fish or shrimp would be fine, whatever was easy for the cook. She asked if I could have scallops, and I said I could, and then the cook returned to make sure salt and pepper were okay. She returned with a plate of all 3 proteins, and it was one of the most delicious plates of food I ever had.I was able to enjoy eating a full (where I didn't go home and eat more to feel full), real, scrumptious meal out with my family for the first time in over a year. It was amazing, and I am so grateful and thankful for the kindness, empathy, and just plain wonderful that was served up in this little restaurant. As for my 2 teenagers husband, they were all stuffed and happy! They raved over every item on the buffet and said there was nothing that wasn't amazing. They enjoyed so much food that no one even attempted dessert! Our server didn't stop from the time we arrived until we left. She was pragmatic, aware, organized, and exceptionally hard working. We were very impressed! We would highly, highly recommend Savannah's to anyone who enjoys down home southern cooking and being blessed by a heapin' helpin' of good folks!
The buffet is very good. Crab legs were not as good as I've had in the past. The meat does not pull out of shell as it should. overcooked maybe ?
My first impression was great for the buffet. I hot there at 430pm right when the Dinner Seafood Buffet was being put out. Everything was great and fresh.I ate snow crab claws the waitress brings them to you as you ask for them, I had a nice salad from the bar. Enjoyed all the fried shrimp, scallops and fish could eat.I will be returning 29.99 for over age 12
The place is a little small, but eating is excellent. we were now twice for everything they eat crawl and buffet and everything was delicious. the last time our waitress was not very great and another had to wait for us.
