The Marton Arms was fantastic yet again. We visited for two evenings at the end of December, including New Year's Eve. The food was excellent, and the staff were all wonderful. We hope to return soon.
A fabulous place service and food all superlative. We visited 3 times over the Christmas period and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Sorry for the long post, but I highly recommend visiting this restaurant! The staff and owner are very helpful and engaging with customers, creating a great atmosphere. They are super friendly and efficient. The menu is unique and uses fresh, local ingredients to create delicious and well-presented meals. We visited on December 28th and enjoyed our experience. The ambience is lovely with festive decorations and stylish furnishings. The restaurant was busy, so booking in advance is essential. They offer a good selection of beers and lagers, although our first choice was not available. The Marton Arms will be closed for two weeks after New Year's Day for some building work. We look forward to returning in the summer when we visit the area again. Best wishes for 2024! - Margi and Kev.
Each year my family and a group of friends have a walk in the fells followed by a meal and this year we decided to walk near Ingleton and book in to the Marton Arms in Thornton In Lonsdale. We have eaten there before and the food is always excellent and this year it certainly did not disappoint! The welcome was fantastic with really friendly staff. The service was top notch and the food was fabulous. Our dog was made really welcome as well which always helps you to relax. The cosy pub has 2 roaring log fires, an area for drying wet gear, fabulous menu and nothing is too much trouble. The manageress even offered to put our sodden clothes in the dryer for us! Everything a dog could need is provided including cosy mats and a dog menu. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to go again.
A gem of a restaurant, the food was excellent and very welcome after a wet walk. We were looked after extremely well by the staff and I would highly recommend this as a place to eat.
