This toastie was exceptional. The delicious cheddar cheese and hand-cut ham were sandwiched between wonderful granary bread. The meal was served with a perfectly dressed salad. The price was also very reasonable. Overall, it was a hidden gem in the city. View all feedback.
What Lina Fontana doesn't like about Brasserie At The Courtyard:
On a journey to the Lakes this looked like an ideal spot to take a break. What a mistake. Ordered a BLT sandwich to be presented with raw bacon. Pointed this out and the sandwich was taken back (no apology). When it came back it...had half the amount of bacon and still hardly cooked. The staff just didn't care. Give this place a wide berth as there are plenty of other places around and I'm sure they will be better. View all feedback.
Eating bad. poor service. dirty toilets with mold around wash basin and bad cleaning standards. the padded looks as if it were hardly cleaned. absolutely nothing to recommend here at all. they make one fall and go somewhere else!
I took my mother to lunch for the winter menu special. at the arrival showed us a more pleasant heart on a table, explained the pig's squirrel on the menu, although it was not written on one of the cries. a dame came to...after a few minutes, we tried to order, said black-red, but she was not aware that it was on the menu. (seriously, the chalk boards would have taken minutes). it looked like she wrote after our order, but it must be a system of order, anyway she couldn't work it. then we ordered our puddings at the same time, a sticky toffee pudding, a strawberry shortcake sun and tees (hot drinks included in the deal). she had problems remembering our very short order already, although it must be entered on her screen, no good sign. Tee came fast. the most important meal times had to arrive. in the meantime the dinge did not look good when we looked at our neighbours, one had sent something back and needed to replace the whole meal. a kerl wondered where his suppe was and another couple had been promised that their chips would come, but halfway through their meal came some rather dark colored chip samples. it wasn't busy. in front of the house staff and cook. pork stroganoff comes on. I myself and mother quickly discover that the black was chewing and fat and was not cooked in the sauce, except to arrive in the sauce. pork stroganoff is normally soft and melts in her mouth. it had no taste. we thought it might be the Sunday roast from the left over. it was bad whatever the deal was. at this place we hoped for a personal check, but no one came forward. the mains were finally deleted and we were asked if we wanted something else to discover large system of ordering puddings on the cursor menu only, before the house had no warning. Anyway, the gfbw was very scorched up, nowhere near sauce enough with. mum's so-called strawberry short-cake sun, had no earthy in it or on it. it was the sickly sweetest dessert we had ever seen. neither pudding was done. we left the writing to pay where the man asked if we enjoyed our meal, he seemed to be surprised when we said it was okay, just ok he said, we told him then that this was rather poor and chewing, we had more time, we would have said how vile the earthly free son was. he said he'd take some of our bill, but somehow we've paid. so they could not even pay the meal correctly! neither the cure was satisfactory. I certainly would not have paid more than a five for chewing pigs and burned sticky turbid. the tee was the highlight of the meal. does not believe that we are back in a hurry.
Absolute disappointment. the food was poor and bland. the service and the attitude of the man was shameful, and he was clearly not interested. will never go back
Called in for lunch today. Food was great and service was excellent ! Will definitely return again soon.
