They’re fluffy, delicious, and served in generous portions—often too much for her to finish, which gives me the chance to confirm how fantastic they taste. The owner also offers a unique coffee experience hard to find in the US: kopi luwak. I haven’t tried it here yet, but I’m excited to sample the coffee from his supplier. Back in college, a friend whose Indonesian wife would send him care packages of kopi luwak made waiting for her visa, so I used to enjoy it a lot. The prices at Caffe Bon-ami aren’t the cheapest, but the quality definitely makes it worth the visit. I’m eager to explore more of the menu and finally try the kopi luwak. **Update 10/16/18:** I finally had the chance to try the kopi luwak at Caffe Bon-ami, and it was an incredible experience. The flavor surpassed all my expectations. I’ve had kopi luwak before, but brewed through a coffee siphon here, it tasted so much better. The owner also took time to explain the brewing process and its importance, which enhanced the experience. The delicious flavor even makes me want to invest in my own coffee siphon!

The owner, who doubles as the master barista, has a wonderfully charismatic and welcoming presence that makes you feel completely at home. His expertise shines through in every cup—he truly knows his craft. I tried the mocha latte, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted! The combination of chocolate, espresso, milk, and subtle notes of cherry and cinnamon was perfectly balanced. Simply amazing! I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Rhode Island. Thank you!
