Was Nicole Francis at Buttonwoods Brewery a mag?
In true Rhode Island fashion, I don’t go here often because it’s 30+ minutes away from home but Buttonwoods is one of my favorite RI breweries. Always interesting beers to try with unique flavors like lavender or pistachio. The space is comfortable and it’s a great spot to meet up with a group. View all feedback.
What caused this discomfort? It turns out that Buttonwoods Brewery has a kitchen located right in the center of the space, complete with a fry cook station. Sounds cool, right? The downside is that there’s no ventilation in that kitchen, and there aren’t any windows or ovens to let the cooking fumes escape. As the night went on and food orders piled up, the air quality significantly declined. The brewery only has bay windows that, sadly, can't be opened by customers. This meant that as the evening continued and the kitchen got busier, the air became thicker and less pleasant. Gradually, it felt like we were inhaling more than just the excitement of trivia. Out of curiosity, I spoke with one of the bartenders, who confirmed that the air does indeed get bad, and they sometimes have to open the window when it becomes unbearable. But what’s the plan for a long-term solution? Opening windows isn't practical in the winter. I understand that the new kitchen setup may still be a work in progress, but to me, this issue is more than just a minor inconvenience; it also raises potential health concerns. A little ventilation or an air purifier could make a significant difference. I’ve looked into it, and some highly-rated air purifiers are available for around $50, according to recommendations from sources like Wirecutter. I’m not an expert, but I can’t help but wonder if this might even border on a health code violation. Good air quality is essential for everyone’s comfort and well-being. I hope that Buttonwoods Brewery takes this feedback positively and considers investing in better air circulation or purification—it's a simple fix that could greatly improve the experience. Thanks for reading, and here’s to even better trivia nights in the future! Brendan
Great ambiance and a solid selection of bottles. However, I was disappointed to find that the 4-pack of their flagship IPA I purchased was two months old.
Fantastic beer! I tried some today in New Jersey, and it was delightful! I highly recommend it.
Phenomenal food and a phenomenal beer. The Annex has incredible food. Steph is awesome. Sour awesome as well as their flagship ipa. Def coming back
