La Plaine-morte - Crans-Montana

Natürlich ist die Aussicht außergewöhnlich, aber das allein reicht nicht aus, um ein gutes Restaurant zu sein. Heute war es kalt und nur eine Decke über den Schultern ermöglichte es, sitzend zu essen. Eine auf das absolute Minimum reduzierte Speisekarte macht es wirklich unzureichend, um einen Ort zu schaffen, an den man immer wieder zurückkehren möchte.

Eine wirklich köstliche Torte auf 2900m Höhe. Ich genieße es jedes Mal, wenn ich dort oben bin. Und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und lächelnd.

Wir waren in den letzten Jahren Stammgäste, aber dieses Jahr hat sich alles geändert: Zweifelhafte Sauberkeit, langsamer Service und ein lockerer Umgang auf Italienisch, nur Fondue, Walliser Teller und Tagessuppe auf der Speisekarte... wir werden nicht wiederkommen, schade!

Es ist wirklich bedauerlich, wo sich dieses Restaurant befindet. Es ist eine Schande für die hohen Standards der Schweiz und von Crans Montana. Das Personal ist sehr unhöflich, streitet ständig miteinander und ignoriert die Kunden. Der Service ist sehr langsam, unorganisiert, Bestellungen werden falsch aufgenommen und die Tische sind schmutzig. Jeder Kunde, den wir sahen, war frustriert. Selbst die Bezahlung der Rechnung war ein Kampf! Es kann nicht schlimmer werden. So traurig, angesichts der großartigen Lage.

We booked the place for lunch on the terrace. It was super windy and cold. It was not possible to stay there. Interestingly, half of the restaurant inside was closed (just an observation, as all other restaurants in Crans-Montana are overloaded). We waited outside for 40 minutes and then went inside to ask for the waiter (menus we also found ourselves). He was busy with other customers inside, so we waited further. The menu is very limited: fondue (28-35 CHF), soup (10 CHF), meat plate and nuggets/fries (for kids, 16 CHF). We were a lot of people, which is difficult to serve, we understand. But there were much more mistakes and the rude attitude of staff. We ordered fondue, but we didn't receive it. In some time we figured out that they put it together with other order, as it was the same fondue type. The other couple was also not aware of that and they were sitting at the other table. We got a small basket of bread for 4 people. After we finish it, we couldn't get another one for 20 minutes. We had to go around the restaurant and collect left-overs of bread, as we wanted to finish our food. Some drinks didn't arrive and the cakes were delivered after we quarreled with them. There is so much more to tell. It was the worst place to eat for me in ages. As the gondola was not working, we were said downstairs that we could have a free drink in the restaurant. We laughed, as we were sure we would never return to this place. Anyway, no one came to our table within an hour. Then we went and ordered a tee ourself. In 10 minutes the gondolas were working again and we asked if the drinks were ready. We got a reply that we wanted the drinks just because they were for free. So rude. The tables were not cleaned for hours, two waiters were running like crazy, even though there were not that many tables (I know, I worked as a waiter too)... Just horrible. So petty, as the view there is priceless. It could have been a nice place.
