Was Anonym at Spring Vale a mag?
We stopped by for lunch and were impressed by the picturesque setting and the round tables that overlooked the vineyard. We opted for the Tasting Menu and tried various dishes including Pizza bread, goats' cheese tartlets, garlic prawns, and char-grilled Bass Strait octopus. While we enjoyed the flavors, the tasting plates were on the smaller side and more akin to tapas plates. The Share plates looked enticing, but w... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Spring Vale:
Had lunch here recently when staying in Bicheno. We were there with kids and two of us were vegetarians. There were not really any decent options. One of us had a goats cheese tart that was just two pastry cases stuffed with a LOT of goats cheese and topped with pickled walnuts or sun dried tomatoes. It was far too salty and rich; quite difficult to eat. The octopus was OK but would arguably have been improved by tak... View all feedback.

The food was delicious and well-presented, definitely a step above the usual fare you find in this area. I particularly enjoyed the seafood dishes, fresh and flavorful. Overall, a pleasant dining experience in a charming, peaceful setting. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice meal by the water.
We keep returning to this special place. Great selection of wines available from the most delightful cellar door. The food is amazing as is the service.

While we enjoyed the flavors, the tasting plates were on the smaller side and more akin to tapas plates. The Share plates looked enticing, but weren't the best fit for our group of vegetarians and children. In hindsight, ordering more tasting plates or opting for the share plates and cheeseboard would have provided a wider range of options and a more filling meal. This vineyard is popular for its "pop-up" lunch concept and is a great spot for groups looking to enjoy a leisurely meal.
Were out for a Sat arvo drive from Hobart, with my wife. We came across the entrance to the vineyard, and restaurant. Down the entrance drive to a large canopy, with a rustic style kithchen. Well looks can be deceiving. Perfect outlook out into the vines. The menu was basic, but the food was excellent. Hopefully the chef can do a deal with the family, & be back there in November. Well worth the 2 hour drive up. By the way the wine was great. Look forward to going back up in November, December.
