This is a fantastic budget-friendly spot in the heart of Cranbourne, known for its high-quality dishes offered at low prices. It's perfect for takeout, and I always end up with plenty of leftovers. My favorite dish here is the beef and cashew, and the spring rolls are simply divine—they're a hit every time. This is my go-to takeaway place, and I hope it never changes. I love it! What mohan doss doesn't like about Bonsai Bali:
I ordered two Nasi Goreng dishes—one with a variety of ingredients and the other with just prawns and chicken—along with a special spicy chicken. Unfortunately, both Nasi Goreng dishes were quite bland. I've tried Nasi Goreng at many restaurants, and it typically comes with a fried egg on top, but there was none here, which was disappointing. The special spicy chicken was somewhat decent, but it lacked any real spici... View all feedback.
Always great food, never disappoints. We have many favourites but the go to is Chicken satay skewers, Nasi Goreng and Exclusive combination.
Overall food was very nice and will definitely order from them again. Only getting 4 stars though for two reasons, honey sauce for honey prawns was watery and lacked flavour. Other reason is we ordered the 'Explosive Combination ' which states as being very spicy. I called them up to check how spicy as the hotter the better for us. They suggested I tick the box to make it extra extra spicy which I did. Unfortunately upon receiving I struggled to find any spice at all.
First and last time ordering from here. $90 order and the food was barely edible. Wanton soup with undercooked wanton wrappers. The combination omelette with ‘extra’ meat and gravy was so dry and bland. What gravy there was on it was so watery and lacked flavour. The special fried rice had no flavour either. Ordered extra meat in that but didn’t get it. Ripped off where you pay extra but don’t get what you paid for. The best part of the meal was the prawn chips. Obviously they are bought ready made because they were cooked and had flavour. Would not recommend wasting your money eating at Bonsai Bali.
Ordered for the first time as our regular go to place was closed and have to say, very disappointed. Order cost $150+ and the food was terrible. Meals were dry and tasteless to the point where most of it was thrown out and pizza's ordered. Very disappointed. Won't be ordering from there again.
Super easy online ordering system, arrived early, by friendly driver Jason, and it was still hot. Very impressed, thanks Bonsai Bali An easy 5 star review.
