I highly recommend Shelter Cove Lodge. I have been fishing with them for over 20 years and have made many wonderful memories with my children. Linda, Dave, and Stacey do an outstanding job running the lodge. I have enjoyed all the different fishing trips over the years, but Dave is truly in a league of his own. What Alison Hill doesn't like about Shelter Cove Alaska Fishing Lodge:
These owners allow abusive treatment of staff, then get upset and deduct from paychecks when employees decide to leave for a healthier working environment after nothing is done to solve any of the problems. Verbal abusive is never ok in an environment where you've left your home to stay there for 3 months. That was by far the best alaskan fishing we ever had. the personal was fantastic, dave and his team make a fabulous job that takes care of the guests. the food was excellent. bella the morning cook was alway friendly and hospitable also in such an early hour. the evening cook and the waiting staff were great. megan and her brother, the fierce were very personal and shared secrets how to fill the many fish we had. our leader, dave was great and worked very hard to find fish and make sure we had our limit. we've just dropped the last day, a little bit. I hope to be back soon.

This place has a great view of the sea and good food
We LOVED our stay at the Shelter Cove Lodge! The fishing eas great. We got our limit of king salmon and halibut every day. Our guide Dave had been at the lodge for many years as had many of the guides. That should tell you a bit about how the owners treat their staff. The rooms were very nice. the dining room and reading rooms were super comfortable. We saw tons of eagles, humpback whales, sea otters, deer, sea lions, and seals. One pod of whales blew bubbles and rose right next to our boat to feed on herring. The food was great with 6 choices for entry’s every night. The owners and staff were sincerely interested in making sure we were comfortable and having the best time possible. My parents are 78 and they really looked out for them. We are already planning out next trip here!
