Taqueria El Pique - COZUMEL

Probably more authentic than the more mainstream tourist places, and that’s why we liked it. Menu is painted on the wall, waiters with very little English. We weren’t sure what we were ordering, but it was very good!

El Pique was recommended by our hotel staff as the best tacos on the island. It's cash only and very affordable. The al pastor is where it's at. OMG, so good. We tried some other things too. Staff may only know a little bit of English so be prepared to speak some Spanish. This place is undoubtedly on our list for something worth returning to on our next trip.

The absolute worst experience. Food was terrible (stale chips, no sauces, horrible queso). The kicker. If you pay in American dollars, they use their own exchange rate they don't publish or tell you about. I argued for 10 minutes and they couldn't care less. Nero's Tacos and Los Seros blow El Pique away. El Pique is a bunch of criminals. Avoid at all costs.

All tacos delicious and cheap. Also open on Sundays We had barbacoa and El pastore. Perfect for quick, good and inexpensive

Excellent, cheap tacos. Seems like a bit of a local spot. Really cool atmosphere, quick service. Would recommend.
