I visited on two occasions while staying in Cozumel (I’m from the uk) and both were great. I don’t think there was any/or many (can’t fully remember) vegetarian options on the menu, however I just asked and was given a lovely mushroom option. I had three little mushroom tacos with cheese that were very yummy. They seemed totally happy to make it for me. The waiter was very nice and friendly, calling us by our names.... View all feedback.
What Valentina Nava doesn't like about Los Otates:
After a long day of diving, I was starving so my son and I came here. Each of us ordered burritos (It said with rice, shredded lettuce, and beans inside). There was no rice in either burrito, I think I had 3 beans and two pieces of shredded lettuce. Chips and pico de gallo are an extra charge. Although service was quick, compared to other places on the island it was poor as the only time our server came to our table,... View all feedback.
This is our go to restaurant the first night of our arrival. A true locals toco experience. A few renovations since the last time we visited but all for the better. No spit of pastor spinning when you walk in, but the tacos were just as delicious. We went with our kids, but there is a lively bar with live music next door if you want to extend your evening.
My husband and I and our friends dined here our first night in Cozumel as it was centrally located between both of our lodgings. My husband and I ordered the tacos which were very good but small. Make sure you order at least 3. Our friend ordered a burrito and it was huge. We had beer and soda with our meal as they weren't serving margaritas the night we were there. The staff speaks very little English so we weren't sure if they don't serve margaritas at all or just not that night. I suspect that they don't serve mixed drinks. The food is so reasonable. I believe 6 tacos, a beer, and a soda was around $15. It is always a must dine at restaurant when we visit Cozumel.

The lemonade is so so so tasty, definitely recommend getting it. It’s sour and sweet, just how I like it. The music is great, heard it’s live sometimes. Sad I missed that!! The food and drinks are priced nicely. I would love to come back if I visit Cozumel again, had a great meal and nice evening on both occasions.
Name has changed quality of the food and service has remained incredible. My favourite local food spot in Cozumel and we have been coming here for over 20 years. Unassuming, excellent food at very affordable prices.
Always great. We come every year on our visit to Cozumel. Tacos are always excellent. Tacos Al pastor with salsas in mini squeeze containers on the table never disappoints!
