Hamburguesa House - COZUMEL

After a long travel day from the states we were looking for food within walking distance of our rental house and Burger House was a great find. The burgers were delicious (highly recommend the Hawaiian burger) and the service was excellent. It was the middle of the afternoon and they had a steady stream of to do business from locals while we were there. A great sign of good food!

Where did they go? It is April 27, 2023, and about 8pm. I just walked to the restaurant at the address on Xel Ha and it looks like it is closed down. Did George move to another location or did he close down? They used to be closed on Monday and Tuesday, but not Thursday. The website says it is still open right now until midnight. The phone number is not being answered. Where did they go?

We ate here twice this trip, the last time, there were eight of us that filled the place to capacity! No worries, the service was still timely and excellent. I had the hamburger both times, and i have to rate it as the best I have had in Cozumel. Others had the tacos and and burritos. No one was disappointed. Did I mention that the onion rings are nice and crisp and made from scratch.

I have visited this restaurant more than 20 times; and will continue coming. Burgers have a great size; are Charcoal Grilled; the bread is made by a local bakery; and they have a variety of combinations such as the Italian done with pesto mmmm. Very recommended. Also check on their stuffed baked potatoes, rib eyes, and other dishes.
