Lovely spot with inside and outside areas our dog was welcomed inside. Service was friendly and accurate , food was great but I think something vegan would be good for both meals and cakes. Could we have some info on the milks available for the coffees and serviettes provided for us messier eaters! Overall thoroughly recommended . View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fredwell Café Patisserie:
We visited the new Llantwit shop several times. Although the menu wasn't available, the food we tried was enjoyable. However, I thought my avocado toast was overpriced, especially since it didn’t even come with a full cooked egg—just on four slices of bread. View all feedback.
The breakfast took a while to be served and was a bit cold. The only option for eggs was boiled, topped with hollandaise sauce, which felt unusual for a main breakfast dish. We inquired about having scrambled or poached eggs when we were leaving, but they said it wasn’t possible. While the decor is nice, we won’t be coming back.
The menu is short which is good as you can choose easily. The breakfasts are great and the feta on french toast is delicious. The pancakes and waffles will always be a good shout too.
The food and coffee were excellent, as were the cakes. The staff were very friendly, and it was a delightful place to visit.
We visited the New Llantwit shop recently, and although much of the menu was unavailable, what we did order was quite nice. However, I found my avocado toast to be overpriced, especially since it only had four slices of boiled egg on top rather than a whole one.
Albeit since my visit I can see a Facebook post that was published around 8 weeks ago I was very disappointed with not being able to eat there. We visited with our 18 month old and there was no high chairs. The place looked amazing and so did the food. A high chair in Ikea is £15. They advertise as dog friendly so I was really surprised to not be able to take my child. I can only assume they don’t want children about. We drove into Cowbridge and ate elsewhere and the bill was £65, enough to pay for 4 high chairs. Such a shame but I hope it changes as I would love to visit.
