Feedback
**Restaurant Review: The Mixed Blessings of Marcello's** Marcello's, an intimate Italian restaurant in Covington, garners both praise and criticism. Many diners rave about the fantastic wine selection and delicious pasta options, particularly the famed Linguine Tritone. However, some recent experiences highlight inconsistencies, including concerns over food quality, particularly with seafood, and disorganized service during busy times. While the ambiance is cozy and suitable for special occasions, noise levels can hinder conversation. Overall, the restaurant is a favorite for its attentive service and charm, yet some patrons have left feeling disappointed by certain dishes. Reservations are recommended for peak dining times.
Intimate Italian at its best. I ordered the pork cheek and my wife got the veal Molli. It was superb. For dessert, we ordered the Tiramisu. The waiter said, “the best Tiramisu of your life” and he was right! My wife doesn’t usually care for tiramisu but it was divine. We can’t recommend Marcello’s
We dined at Marcello's for the first time, and we will definitely be returning! Everything was outstanding. It's a cozy spot that's quite popular, so I suggest making a reservation for a Friday or Saturday night. I highly recommend the Linguine Tritone!
This was our second dining experience at Marcelo's. The first visit was good enough for us to return, but after this meal, the restaurant is making my "worst ever food list." My wife ordered the grouper fish special, while I had the chicken Palermo. Unfortunately, the fish tasted old and greasy. The chicken was decent, but it came with bland pasta. The calamari was overcooked and had the flavor of old, dirty frying oil.
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, which added to the enjoyable atmosphere. For my meal, I ordered the chicken molly, and my husband had the ossobuco, both of which were absolutely delicious. The food was flavorful and the service was impressively quick. The only downside was the cheesecake; it wasn’t bad, but it felt a bit lackluster compared to the other dishes. However, I really loved the tiramisu! All in all, it was a fantastic dinner.
The atmosphere was quiet and nice. White table clothes. We were brought to our table right away. We had an early reservation, so that might account for the quiet time. The food and service were great. The bread was fantastic. You can sit outside or on back porch that was closed in or the dining room. It was our anniversary whichninputnonnthe reservation. Nothing was said or done to make it special. We would go back again.
