Colonial Inn - Covington
Colonial Inn
Description
The Colonial reads like a long-standing neighborhood pub: friendly, hands-on staff, affordable bar food, and a lively beer-focused scene with pool and gaming machines. Fried items and wings often shine and some pizzas and cheesesteak pies earn praise, but patrons report inconsistent portions and occasional quality declines, sparse healthy choices, and spotty service. Best for locals, groups and casual beer nights rather than seekers of upscale or reliably fresh cuisine.

The food was ok. The service was great. The drunks were loud. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
A bar for the older local crowd. The prices are reasonable for a reason. You can tell they skimp in the kitchen. The salads are disappointing. Lettuce tomato and onion, same ingredients they use on the burgers and sandwiches. No cucumbers or carrots or something to add flavor. No other healthy options. Not very welcoming if you aren't a regular customer. Price per person: $10–20
It is so consistent for over 40 years that I have been going there as far as the food. Amazing service from the bar, and awesome owners who jump right in and get their hands dirty. My favorite drama free place to hang out, my Cheers!
If you know, you know. Colonial is a favorite in the area. I love the taco salad!
The Colonial is ok. The chicken wings are good, pizza is a little too much like cardboard for my taste. Definitely not fresh pizza but more like a frozen heated up one. Disappointed with the customer service. My husband's beer glass was cracked right down the side and he ended up with glass in his mouth. They replaced his beer but still charged us! No apology either. The atmosphere is ok. It's a bar/restaurant with just bar food. Not one of my favorite places.
