My husband and I wanted something different so we googled and went to a restaurant called Carreta's Grill. We thought it may be like la Carrera in tangipahoa parish. To our delight it was not. What Judd Littel doesn't like about Carreta's Grill:
We've eaten here numerous times but it still strikes me as odd when a place says they have authentic Mexican food and there's no spice, no seasoning whatsoever on the tacos. The food is all cooked, so Gordon Ramsey couldn't yell at them for making it raw but they forget about salt pepper frequently. This place is definitely a new favorite! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and very quick, and the atmosphere was family friendly and comfortable! Great experience!
Great food and friendly staff. They can get busy at times so just have a drink and be patient.
Best Margaritas on the Northshore. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Covington Mandeville by far.
