What Christina Wilhelmsen doesn't like about Buds Broiler:
This is not a fast food restaurant. Do not expect to grab a quick meal here. The staff is limited to just two workers, leading to long lines. Although they have a hiring sign up, the 35-minute wait to place an order may not be worth the additional 30-minute wait for the food to be ready. It's disappointing. View all feedback. What Maya Rodriguez likes about Buds Broiler:
I always liked Buds Broiler growing up in NOLA in Mid City across from Delgaldo University. Glad they opened up in Covington. My favorite burger is the one with cheese, grilled onions, and their famous hickory smoke sauce. It is Great to have an old NOLA favorite in Covington. Hope it stays forever on the Northshore View all feedback.

Eddie is the friendliest employee I have ever encountered at Buds Broiler. The burgers and fries are always delicious.
I consider the #6 burger at The Passage to be one of my favorites in the country. The staff is fantastic and the restaurant is consistently clean.

With only two staff members on hand, patrons face extended queues, and while the hickory smoke sauce burger is a hit, many reviewers criticize the quality of the food, likening it to fast food rather than gourmet. The hefty prices and inconsistent orders further mar the experience. Despite the fond memories it evokes for some, the overall consensus leans towards disappointment, leaving many questioning whether Bud's can reclaim its former glory.
