You wouldn't expect it from the outside, but this restaurant serves some of the best sushi and Japanese seafood specialties in the city. While it's slightly pricier than the typical crab and mayo places you find everywhere, it’s still much more affordable than high-end restaurants like Nobu Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills. If you're considering ordering the omakase, which means a chef's selection, it’s around $90 per pers... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hayakawa:
The food was disappointing and the service was terrible. The place had a musty, old smell, and the fish was never fresh. I can't understand how this place has a good rating. The service was lacking, and the older gentleman named Kazu at the sushi bar was quite rude and unpleasant. Best Japanese food I've had in a while. The sushi was so fresh! They were super nice and the service was first class. If you are in the area make it a point to stop by and try them out.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Food is awesome. Such a great find in this part of town. Will recommend to everyone who enjoys great food!
This is by far the best sushi restaurant I've ever had ever. Don't plan on ordering a 911 or crunchy roll. You must have their Pepper Salmon Sushi and Steak Toro Sushi and their Crab sushi and their Ceviche. This is quality and therefore is not cheap and there is no all you can eat special. Prepare to be blown away. I love Hayakawa!
This is the most delicious and fresh sushi I have ever had in my life. I can eat here every single day. Hands down, #1 Sushi restaurant!!!
Our favorite restaurant for Japanese food. Great atmosphere and fantastic customer service. Love the sushi bar!!
