The food and drinks are great. Two tacos is enough to feel full since they are on the large side. Pescatarian options are good (fish, shrimp) in case you don't eat red meat. Take-out is packed nicely. Sometimes they have flan or creme brule for desert. The indoor dining space has tall ceilings and the huge doors are always open, so there is constant air circulation. What Ashley Villalpando doesn't like about El Bukanas Covina:
Food is great, but their online ordering process is so misleading. Their tacos al vapor option says it will come with 2 small tacos for $1.99, so I ordered 3 with everything on it, expecting to get 6. When I showed up to get the order, they literally only gave me 3 tacos, plain. I tried to dispute it and they said that the order is not 2 tacos, but just 1. I ended up having to pay extra to get the other 3. They shoul... View all feedback.

Torta isn't good it's just like a taco with onion and cilantro and the asada wasn't even asada and didn't taste good ?
Order 4 chicken tacos the chicken was very very salty u couldn't enjoy the tacos not going back stop the salt my head hurting to much
First time here the place is clean wide tables cushioned seats perfect temperature. The woman behind the register didn’t give me time or greet me before asking what I wanted. After looking at the menu I ordered 2 tacos de canasta de papa, I was surprised at the cost of these tacos de canasta, they have picadillo, potato, beans, and chicharrón, how can they charge the same for a taco de papa as a taco de asada? Taco Meat is on average $8 a pound, potatoes are 20 lbs for $8 ?Well I also ordered 2 de birria y dos de cabeza. She brought the food out to me and asked if I wanted green or habanero salsa, I of course ordered the habanero because I like it super hot!The tacos looked good but the taste was all grease and a bit salty. It seems like this restaurant douses it tortillas in oil, lard, or whatever type of grease. I squeezed out as much of the grease possible, I could easily fill a couple of shot glasses with this grease.I ate the potato tacos I didn’t like the presentation the tortilla again very greasy and soft with mashed potato in it and there was two on the plate and cabbage sprinkled over them, the habanero salsa was a joke it tasted like watered down pace picante sauce from Ralph’s and hold on they only give you one little tiny porcelain baby cup per three tacos ?This place has potential but they have to lighten up on all that grease, bigger tortillas would be good, service could be nicer, salsa more choices and homemade with more spice options.I hope I don’t get sick from all that grease but the birria itself was pretty good and the cabeza not bad, just a little salty and greasy, they’re supposed to be tacos “al vapor” that means steamed, so what’s with all the grease?
