Confirmed the booking at the bar and was pointed to the table where we would be seated so went... read more Visited today for a treat mothers day meal. Table booked online. Confirmed the booking at the bar and was pointed to the table where we would be seated so went and sat down. Went to the bar to order drinks to be asked if we had a table booked and asked numerous times if we’d paid a deposit for said table which we hadn’t. Once settled with drinks the manager came over to ask if we’d booked and been seated as the reserve sign was still on the table. Advised again yes we have booked and was told to sit where we sat. I felt as good communication and organisation the manager could have asked his team members first before coming over to ask us had we booked, it felt assumed we’d walked in off the street and sat down at a reserved table. The manager seems a little abrupt and we pointed out this was the third time within 5 minutes we’d been asked if we had a booking. Food was nice but communication and organisation seemed lacking considering it’s Mother’s Day. The lesson here is not to judge a book by its cover !

I ordered hunters chicken which I have had before as a take away and have always been satisfied .Tiday though it was dreadful. Stale chips tough chicken and inedible onion rings . Luke warm despite living within a few minutes of Burnt post. Wont order a take away from here again

Great pub quiz on a Sunday too. I can highly recommend the chargrilled veg linguini! It’s advisable to book if it’s a Friday or Saturday though as it can get really busy. Nice atmosphere.
