The Empress Fish Stoke - Coventry
The Empress Fish Stoke
Description
In the heart of Coventry, a local fish and chip shop garners mixed reviews from diners. While some patrons laud its consistently delicious offerings, warm staff, and generous portions, others express frustration over long wait times and pricing structures for individual orders. Reports of declining quality in kebabs and greasy, over-salted chips also concern regulars. Nevertheless, the shop maintains a loyal following due to its friendly atmosphere and affordable prices. While inconsistencies exist, many still view it as a beloved dining destination for both traditional fish and chips and other takeaway options in the area.

Been going here for a few years spend at least £25 a week, but the last 4 weeks the kebabs have been of very poor quality quantity every week I've been thinking it's a one off but today was a joke, they have got a lot smaller the meat looked like it was scrapped off the bottom small bits of leftover meat, think it's time to look for another chippy
Nearly nothing inside. Bun was cold. Chicken so small. They dare to charge 3.30 and call it a burger. Also fries are soggy
I stopped by and picked up a small bag of chips for lunch. It was supposed to be a little indulgence... but instead, I got a bag of overpriced chips that were soaked in vinegar first and then loaded with too much salt. Who serves chips like that?
Always good service and great food lovely folk running what appears to be a family Chip shop . Even doing Pizza now as well .
This is a great fish and chip shop. I used to live nearby and would often go there. Now, it is one of several chip shops that I frequent. The food has always been consistently good, and during my most recent visit, I ordered three portions of chips, fish, and mushy peas. It was delicious.
