I was a bit disappointed with our recent visit to the restaurant. My friends and I are frequent customers, especially for the blues music nights. I used to work at the Brixton branch, so I have high expectations. However, I was unimpressed with the new menu. I don't think it's worth the price, and the ribs didn't taste as good as they used to. Please bring back the pork ribs!
Very atteactive restaurant. Good food and excellent service. Looking forward to my next visit.
I had an amazing experience at The Blues Kitchen Brixton. It was a completely different experience than I was expecting. We had our table for dinner for the planned 2 hours. However, at the end, we were rushed to order our cocktails before being asked to vacate the table. We were then pushed into the main room where we had to stand with our £15 cocktails in hand, navigating through the crowded space. The security guard even told us to move out of the way. When I tried to check my coat at the cloakroom, despite the young age of the crowd, I was charged an additional £5 for each item I checked, on top of the £70 I had already spent. It felt like a bit of a joke.
The service was very quick and efficient, with a reasonably priced meal for a group of 6 in central London. The interior is charming, especially for whiskey enthusiasts. There is also a fun photo booth downstairs that is worth checking out (at an extra cost).
