Always found the food very nice although not the cheapest in the area) The staff were nice and service efficient. However I will be giving it a miss now, last couple of visits not so good, large cod with not much fish and loads of batter£8.50, and today a regular chips with what I can only describe as a bag of full fat scratchings from the bottom of fryer only noticed when home) Such a shame when establishments let their standards fall

The staff is usually friendly and efficient, but tonight was a bit disappointing. The kebab meat was not so good, and the fried chicken was decent. However, the chips were cold and hard, which was disappointing. I ordered two medium bags for almost £8, but it was not a good value for money as I had to throw a lot away due to them being too cold and hard. I hope that on my next visit, the quality will be back to its usual excellent standard.

However,... read more I visit this fish and chip shop approximately once a month. While the portions are on the pricier side, they are usually generous and of good quality. However, my experience tonight (21/07/2023) was very disappointing. Despite understanding that times may be tough with inflation and shrinkflation, I believe that customers deserve to receive a proper portion when they pay for it. Tonight, I felt like I was only getting the scraps left around the fryer, as the scraping was so intense that it seemed to be taking off some of the fryer itself.
