Good service and food, especially for being so rural. Especially enjoyed the rosemary shoestring fries and the fried pickles. The veggies (we had cauliflower) were significantly under-seasoned. View all feedback.
What Bryan Ackley doesn't like about Steakhouse At Cove:
I had a prime rib sandwich with a very large bun but no meat at all. There is a food truck in La Grande that sells a cheesesteak for $15 which has more meat than five sandwiches from Cove Steak House. It's a great option because I don't have to drive across the valley. Save your money and gas! The service was subpar, the meal was for lunch, and the price per person was $20-30. The food quality was rated a 1, service... View all feedback.
Food was good. My wife's burger was very under cooked .. took it home and cooked it done!

We grabbed a to-go order, but I’m looking forward to dining-in during our next visit. The French bread pizzas were really good, not to mention a great value with the Sunday special. I’ll still be thinking about the sidewinder garlic rosemary fries for some time to come, they’re delicious! We also had the taco salad, which was full of flavor and filling. Great eating in a cool town, we’ll be back!
Oasis in the high desert. Great food and great service. Great for families, kids and dates. You choose, bar side or restaurant side. Prime rib is always perfect.
I had the chicken fried steak which comes in 2 different sizes. I found the small size more than I could eat. It came with gravy and mashed potatoes. It was delicious. I also had the pumpkin ice cream for dessert. We got there at 7 pm and they closed at 8 pm. They served the food in plenty of time to enjoy it.
