What User likes about Locals Restaurant at the Old House:
We went there as a couple for lunch and had a delicious and fresh meal. With dietary restrictions I was able to make special requests which the kitchen fully accommodated without extra cost. Nice BC wine selection and much of the menu ingredients were as the name describes, local ingredients. We were in no hurry which was good because lunch took 2 hours. It was very relaxing. read moreThe restaurant offers a relaxing dining experience with delicious, fresh meals that cater to dietary restrictions without extra cost. The menu features modern and original dishes using local produce, highly praised by visitors and locals alike. The Quebecois chef produces gastronomically delicious food at respectful prices. Seafood options showcase items like Cortes Island Gem Oysters and Pacific Rim Bouillabaisse, all cooked to perfection. Locally sourced vegetables shine on the menu, with standout dishes like beet and goat cheese salad. Service is top-notch, and outdoor seating provides a lovely atmosphere for a meal. Overall, a hidden gem in Courtenay.
