The main reason I visited the place for a family dinner is that I had been craving for some Asian food while in Courchevel of which there are not many. This restaurant is obviously a good one in that regard. The prices in the...area are normally high, so I guess it must not be a surprising thing that one has to pay in accordance. What Amélie Grondin doesn't like about Koori:
Visited yesterday worst Japanese place in memory, and believe me, I’ve been to lots. Worse that the cheapest Japanese canteen in London. Every single dish wasn’t good enough to finish. Wagyu beef ruined. Tempura prawns one bite enough to throw away. Sashimi...seemed to be made from scraps, not high grade fish. Even plain rice was too sour to eat absolutely disgraceful. Yesterday the worst Japanese place visited in memory, and believe me, I was in much. worse that the cheapest Japanese kantine in london. every single court was not good enough to finish. wagyu beef ruined. tempura practices a bite enough to throw away. sashimi. looked out shredded, not high-grade fishing. also pure rice was too sour to eat absolutely shameful. constant confusion with the commands that the waiter always bring green tee into a pocket, what says it is matcha. not even 10 for a court alone the prizes they charge and they have the boldness to call themselves in courchevel the best. edamame was the highlight of the evening
Very mixed evaluation about this place. we have come three times. twice last year and once this year. the reason was the weeping we really liked. it is a beautiful restaurant and if they go I would suggest to sit at the bar and. watching häuptlinge make sushi. the restaurant was quite empty every time we came. eating is too expensive for my opinion. if they don't mind spending money, they give it a shot and try. miso suppe is 30 euro as well as edamame and other small starter. sushi does not roll so badly, but very small. 4 small pieces for approx. 15 30 euro depending on the budget. we loved the bottle wein we found probably the cheapest on the menu 75 euro but was simply wonderful. I tried to find it in the local business, but couldn't. the other dinge we really enjoyed were a small beside court of sweet and sweet sushi roll, fish sushi rolls were simply ok, not worth the money. the main section sushi roll was great, but changes constantly. we didn't order any main courts. I just wanted some overpriced sushi and the wine we really liked. so depends on what they order and if they don't make it out, spending money could be a hit or miss.
The main reason why I visited the place for a family dinner is that I had eaten for some Asian foods while in courchevel, of which there are not many. this restaurant is obviously good in this sight. the prices in the... range are usually high, so it may not be surprising that you have to pay accordingly. in courchevel, however, one can expect from the highest quality of the restaurant in other places in order to meet the larger mega-citys worldwide. However, this is only a good one in its category in the opposite.
I was recommended this place by a friend as a good alternative to the French and Italian cuisines which Courchevel is packed with. I also like Japanese cuisine so I went with friends to try it. It is located in one of the luxury hotels....The decor is charm and warm although it has no resemblance to Japanese cuisine. The service is friendly but slow. It took a while even to get us the menus. The food is average at best. The sushi was not bad but nothing special that makes you come back. We ordered fish for the main course black cod and sea bass , both which were so bad that I could not have more than one bite. The fish was not fresh and had a bad taste that made me regret even trying them. In addition the food is seriously overpriced. € 9 for a single nigiri. € 30 for a Mizo soup!! I have never complained about prices and have never written a review on price as I believe good food worth it. This is the first time ever that I write a review on price as I truly feel that the restaurant is overpriced.
We dined at Koori end Feb. 2017 it was an amazing culinary experience with great service. So we invited friends there for dinner a few days later on 7 April 2017. Unfortunately this time the service was very slow, interrupted and unproffessional. Appetizers arrived promptly...but the Aubergine though tasty its portions were tiny and the King Prawn Tempura were rather small. We waited 20 min after the appetizers for sushis and rolls to arrive. Our Koori rolls selection was mixed up and it took 1 2 an hour to get the right item and another 15 minutes after that to finally get the main dishes. The black cod was as good as we remembered, the scallops were good but the beef filet with teriyaki sauce was chewy and bland and although we complained and had it returned to the kitchen it was charged on the bill.
