We ate in this restaurant on a Monday evening. We were very well welcomed with a large smile which was nice. The food was just ok missing a little bit of flavor. The meat was dry. The restaurant was pretty busy so the service wasn’t that great. Overall medium experience. View all feedback.
I have eaten here a few times because it's convenient. The food is average, but the service is terrible: the staff are harassed and actively hostile. They must be on rubbish wages and they must have a really nasty manager. That's the only explanation I can think of for the way they treat smiling, polite guests who are willing to spend money. I speak fluent French but I have an accent, and the waiter took this as an excuse to pretend that he didn't understand me so he could go and chat with the guy on the till and ignore all the customers. This kept happening, and people around me were visibly angry. This is an average eating place with average food but outstandingly unpleasant staff.Avoid at all costs.
Being too tired to go elsewhere as we were staying on site at the ibis, we tried the restaurant. Seated quickly and offered english menus as soon as the waiter spoke more than i understood in french :). Good menu selection. We order drinks and were then brought a bottle of water, glasses and two bowls of lettuce with a dressing on it.We ordered soup, pork ribs/fries, chicken and green beans. What you order is what you get nothing more or less. The environment was cozy as its winter, in fact i would say it was a tad on the hot side. The food was served in an appropriate time and was clean on the palate.
Free parking - Good sight form Sena River - You can buy a good wine But don't eat a cattle beef there. Very bad
As I'm a budget traveler I spend my money on experiences rather than fancy dinners but I have been constantly surprised at how bad food is in Paris and that to get anything remotely OK you have to spend quite a bit. Two of the staff members who helped us seemed to need to wash their hair more often, their uniforms were untidy, the food was bland to inedible and we sent back pretty much everything on our plates. Although I cant generalize and say that I find all French brusque, this has been my 4th or 5th visit to Paris and this was one of the places where the staff were impatient, it was hard to get their attention to bring table basics like condiments which ought to be on the table at the beginning of the meal. I don't expect a Michelin meal at a family restaurant but no self respecting person would be satisfied with this. I imagine this is what food must be like in prison.
