I recently stayed at the motel and absolutely loved the vintage vibe. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, resulting in a great night's sleep. Although I didn't have the chance to try out the restaurant, it seemed to be quite popular given how busy it was. Overall, a fantastic experience! View all feedback.

I have been coming to Whidbey Island a few times a month for work, and I have visited Tyee restaurant twice in the last two weeks. Both times, I had the same experience. View all feedback.
I live in the area so I haven't used the hotel part of the business but the breakfast is probably the best on the island the pancakes are just the perfect fluffyness and amazing service I have been there a plethora of times and am yet to have the food bad/ cold and no bad service I definitely recommend having breakfast here or any meal for that matter if your in the area
I booked this because I didn't want to deal with traffic but I didn't know that this hotel is next to a trailer park and it's on the main road and it's across from the Apple market. I have the fish and chips here and those were really good and the service was really good but I did not want to stay at their hotel so I left and I drove home. I ended up losing $130 because I didn't know this so I'm trying to help the next person. I would probably stay at the Coupeville inn because that's a very nice place to stay.Walkability: It's far away from downtown Coupeville so not a good location at all and next to a run down trailer park.Food drinks: The fish and chips were very good and the service was excellent. I recommend them for the restaurant but not the hotel.
What a horrible place. Rude dismissive staff. No one smiles. No one greets you. No one has a good personality. We poked into the bar area because I saw a restroom and I needed to take my 4 year old to use it. Some lady sprung up like the FBI pointing He can 't be in here! He can 't be in here! To my 4 year old, as if my 4 year old was gonna do a back flip behind the bar and start chugging whisky. It 's like RELAX. These people were drinking already at 11am so, real stellar people ??. I wanted to leave but my family sat down in the restaurant. We sat, literally 23 minutes before we were even acknowledged, let alone get water. The waitress didn 't smile, was short, appeared annoyed and lookee like she hated her life. This place and everyone in it was an awful experience. Stay away.
Used to eat here with my wife and the in-laws. The in-laws are gone, sadly, but now I get to eat the pancakes!
Racist…don’t go there, ignored for 15 minutes and then just left. Kindly held the door for a white couple, let them do their thing first, greeted by hostess she says sit where you want, and they said we are just checking out. Hostess hands them a ticket and they leave. Hostess does not acknowledge my wife and I, just walks away. I decide then hey no other people waiting she said sit where you want to them. So we walk in and sit down, expecting her to see we’re there and bring some menus. Then a couple minutes go by, and I start getting that feeling. At this point I’m super hungry so I try to be cool and see if I can catch her walking by. Then she goes and takes some orders, then tends to another table. Then starts bringing back things people are ordering, still no contact, no menus, water zip. My wife is enraged at this point and starts blaming me for not saying anything, still trying to be cool. I finally felt so anxious and caught in the middle I just walked out. Bummer as I grew up in Oak Harbor and used to go here as a kid, hoping they’d be less racist 20 years later, guess not. Do yourself a favor and just go to Whidbey Coffee spare yourself the experience, it’s giving antebellum.
