The Pollards

The Pollards
4.4 / 5 (7954 reviews)

Description

Nestled in a bustling locale, The Pollards offers a blend of traditional pub fare and unique dishes that appeal to diners. While some patrons rave about generous portions, friendly service, and flavorful meals, others recount disappointing experiences ranging from insufficient menu items to concerns over food safety. Reservations for larger groups have posed challenges, and when they do go smoothly, the execution can fall short. Overall, The Pollards shows potential with its hearty offerings, but consistency in service and food quality is crucial for making it a go-to dining destination.

Excellent service. very good traditional pub-grub. veggie lasagne, was very cheesy, would like to be a bit more chunky. also had pork and black pudding stacker. we will return

An excellent lunch with good friendly staff we had grilled cocktail and black pudding bon bon bons they were the size of the golf balls with a lot of taste. then chili con carne followed a fish and chips. the chips were much full and the most tasty I had for a long time

We were there for a family birthday meal for 15 people. The food was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend The Pollards to anyone. Excellent

Table booked for 1.15, arrived at 1 to be advised not ready, asked again at 1.20, informed previous diners hadn’t vacated assigned table (restricted where we could eat due to having a dog with us, hence booking). Sorted in another few minutes. Once seated order taken swiftly food arrived even quicker, we all opted for the small pork thank goodness we did, it was more than ample with 2 Yorkshire puddings an insane amount of vegetables consisting of swede, carrots, cabbage, mashed potato mushy peas with choppy salad mint sauce (divine) loads of gravy, really hot, very tasty no room for dessert which was just as well as they’d sold out of most items on the menu, great food at an excellent price, really pleased with it as I write this review 7 hours later, can’t face the prospect of anything else to eat!

We visited the restaurant tonight, which we typically do at least once a month. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional, as always. We really enjoyed our experience. Thank you.
