Description

Since reopening after lockdown, this restaurant has struggled to maintain its former charm and quality. While some diners have enjoyed pleasant meals, including a fantastic value breakfast, others have encountered overcooked dishes, unappetizing presentations, and a lack of attentive service. Customer experiences vary—some appreciate quick, friendly service, while others have faced issues with cleanliness and food quality, notably dry steaks and odd management decisions regarding age restrictions. Despite a few positive notes, a significant portion of patrons have expressed disappointment, suggesting that the establishment may not be the go-to spot it once was.

Just not the same since they reopened after lockdown. Always great food before but now it is overcooked and not very nice. Have given them a good chance to get things back to normal but been in today and the fish was over cooked, much smaller than usual and was really just batter with a bit of fish in the middle. One curry pot was thick and gluey and the other was tepid and watery. Beer isnt too great either. The Stella and the San Miguel both have a tang which is unpleasant. Probably give this place a miss now which is a shame because it was brilliant before and we always enjoyed the food.

I stopped in for a meal and a beer after work at a Wetherspoons location. Using the Wetherspoons App, I ordered a pint of Fosters and the new sirloin steak cooked medium, served with peas, chips, mushrooms, tomato, and Jack Daniels Honey Glaze sauce. I was extremely disappointed with the meal. The tomato was uncooked, the peas were hard and cold, the chips were also cold, and the sirloin steak looked overcooked and dry. The only good part of the meal was the sauce, which seemed store-bought. To make matters worse, the booth table I was seated at had leftover food and dirty utensils on the floor underneath. This was without a doubt the worst steak dinner I have ever had.

I went to this restaurant today for their fish and chip Friday special. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the service was quick. The toilets were always clean. We are regulars for breakfast here. The car park is on the smaller side.
