We had the honey chicken and a special cheesy/chorizo cod and lemon meringue cheesecake and cookie dough. Food was so tasty and massive portions. They offered half rice and half chips as well on the mains as an option. Service was excellent and staff all friendly. Will definitely return.

We did not book a meal but we wer... read more There was ample parking around 1.30pm. My friends and I entered the restaurant. I was warned it would be a little dark inside. We did not book a meal but we were taken to a table near a window. The staff were very helpful and soon took our orders for drinks. The drinks were quickly delivered. The menus were on the table so meals were ordered. I was surprised how soon our meals were delivered. During our wait for the meals i noticed a constant trickle of people on their way to the restaurant. Two of us ordered home made steak pie with chips, mushy peas and a thick gravy. When the meal was delivered there was a small jug of extra, thick gravy. The pie was a triangle about 5.6 cm. in other words a quarter of a pie. The crust was reasonably soft. The chips were perfect. I did not use the extra gravy. I dine out about twice a week and this pie was the best I have ever had. I did not need a dessert.

Great welcome , food as good as I have had for some time. Service very attentive. Price wise very reasonable , portion size just right for me. Definitely will return. The only negative thing hence knocking a mark off I could find was the toilet wasn't to the same standard as the rest of my experience.
