Looking forward to our next visit
First visit and service was friendly, quick and excellent overall. Cream teas and cakes were delicious. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return soon. I’m picky about coffee and this was good stuff!
This is my review for the Blue Stone Tea Shop in Crook I think the staff at the Blue Stone Tea Shop are so welcoming, kind and they always make you feel like you belong there. The staff are worth so much more than...just their service. If anyone is wanting a warm-welcoming feeling when they walk into a café, then this is the place for you. I highly recommend trying this place out. They cater to your needs and they are extremely welcoming and friendly staff members.
I cannot recommend this place enough. We have lived on two different continents and in six different counties within the UK, and truly I have never found a cafe tea room that I love more than this little gem in Crook. The meals are...consistently delicious every time we go; the prices are very reasonable; the environment is so cosy, peaceful and welcoming; but it’s the friendly, personal service that really makes it what it is. Not to mention board games, a little library, lovely decor, delicious cakes amazing breads... it is everything a tearoom should be and then so much more. We don’t go anywhere near as often as we would like, but the owner always remembers us even when our visits are months apart, and has always made the time to have a chat with us right from day one. And the staff are all so patient, kind and thoughtful with our children. They have also done a brilliant job of adapting to covid and we felt very safe visiting in this post-lockdown world. It’s well worth going out of your way for if you’re ever visiting the North East!
Wonderful!!! Fabulous food in a great tea room with a fabulous atmosphere! I had a lovely baked potato with the ‘Blue Stone bacon and mushrooms in a brandy cream sauce’... so so nice!!! The side salad was yummy too lovely flavours and colours!! For...dessert I had the lemon cake with custard! So very lemony and beautiful homemade custard!! Fantastic! Thanks guys! We’ll be back!!!
