What SuperSonic1979 doesn't like about The Blue House:
2 of us visited here recently and won’t be back in a hurry. Ordered jacket potato with salad and a steak and ale pie. Jacket potato was the size of a small garden potato and the pie was as dry as sticks. Both plates of food took ages to come out as well. Tables and chairs have been crammed in so there’s no room to move your chair if you need to either. It’s far too crowded. Not impressed at all.
Katsu Chicken. Sauce too much chilli in. So bad could not taste the rest of the meal. Had stomach issues all night for several hours the following day. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

The blue house got recommended to me for been a lovely quiet place with lovely food and large portions good friendly service, I had the parmo this time and it was very tasty, I recommend booking a table, I'll be back for more Parking: Enough room for about 30 cars Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp leads to door Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

The service was excellent. We went for Sunday lunch at 2.45pm and I think service finishes at 3pm on Sunday. The staff were really friendly. Sunday lunch had a choice of beef, chicken, pork and roasted ham or you could have 3 meats for £15.95. Plus extra gravy is 50p per jug. The lunch was lovely, hone cooked food. I had pork with a gorgeous and light crackling. Mashed potato, roast potato, roasted parsnip and a separate turin of carrots and savoy cabbage (make sure to carefully pick out the separate veg because the bowl was full of water). The food was really tasty and the meals were served very quickly. The heat in the main room was Insanely hot, which may be an issue for some people. We would definitely recommend.
