Stayed at the Railway Crossings for 5 days and I have to say it was a great place to stay, eat and drink. Made to feel welcome from the moment I stepped through the door, the room I had was great, spotless and very comfortable. The thing that really sets this place apart is the staff, who are absolutely fabulous, and that is all of them, the bar staff and the locals are extremely friendly, and I enjoyed my stay very... What dazzerbay doesn't like about Railway Crossings:
Believe it or not this is few mins walk from our house. On a few occasions we have tried to eat here to no avail. The times we have tried we have been told they have run out of food and we have left. Not much of an impressive start with new owners. Got to point stopped bothering. Pub itself is OK but can get very busy but that can't be a bad thing. View all feedback.
I stayed and dined at this restaurant with my mother while visiting family. We chose to stay here based on a recommendation from a friend who had also stayed and we are glad we did. The restaurant is lovely, with exceptional service, staff, food, and rooms. The staff were delightful and very helpful. The food was delicious - we enjoyed breakfast and dinner, particularly the fried egg sandwich, fish and chips, and sponge puddings. The rooms were nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely be returning in the future!
I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night for one night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast included was delicious. The rooms appeared to have recently been renovated to a high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable. Despite being located above a lively bar, we could hardly hear any noise when we returned to our room. I would highly recommend staying here.
We were in the area for a funeral having travelled from the Midlands and called in here after leaving a local club where the wake was held. Didn’t know what to expect as the external looks don’t represent the inside which is very modern and comfortable. Good selection of beers and not expensive. Didn’t have food so can’t can’t comment but they did have a large jar of pork scratchings on the bar which were great. Enjoyed ourselves so much we changed our taxi booking by an hour but we’re still sorry to leave when it arrived.

This restaurant is a fantastic find in this area. The price is great value, especially with breakfast included. The owners, Peter and Linda, are lovely and make you feel very welcome. The bar was recently refurbished and there are new rooms available. The room is a good size with lots of added extras, and it is very comfortable and quiet despite being a busy time for the bar. The restaurant offers good food and drinks at reasonable prices, and the included breakfast was fantastic. I highly recommend paying a visit.
