What badj2013 dislikes about Lou's:
This restaurant is a typical café that offers classic dishes such as English breakfast, pie and chips, toasties, sandwiches, and cake. While it was described as "absolutely stunning" by a previous reviewer, that may be a bit of an exaggeration. The food was alright overall, although the chips seemed to be either overcooked or in need of fresh oil, as they were quite dark. While there is nothing particularly unique ab... View all feedback.

This restaurant is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is impeccably clean. I give it a 5-star rating for its value, delicious food, and excellent staff. I traveled here from Blackpool while on holiday to meet my new family. I had a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back again.
We have been coming here for quite a while now. Staff are always polite, friendly and efficient. We have tried most things on the menu but my favourite is the soup and cheese and tomato toastie. My husband likes the choice of desserts of course! The soup and toastie combo is usually on the o.a.p. special menu. Last week I had the special shepherd's pie with peas which was tasty but the Yorkshire pudding with it was hard and cold so a rare disappointment here. The English breakfast is good value and very filling. They have a special every day of the week on the board and the o.a.p. lunch includes a pot of tea. The baked potato with filling is good value too. We like to support local businesses so will continue going to Lou's. We wish them a good 2023.
