Kfc - County Durham

The popcorn chicken Regular box at this restaurant is a complete rip off. It costs £3.99 and there were only about 15 small pieces in the tiny box, making each piece roughly 27p. Not only is this a disgraceful rip off, but the chicken wasn't very tasty either. It seemed like it was not hot enough and was a bit chewy, possibly indicating that it was old.

It took 25 minutes for my food to be prepared, and when it finally arrived, the wrap was ice cold. Despite arriving before several other customers, five people who came after me received their orders before me. Even a Deliveroo driver who arrived during my wait had the food for their delivery order prepared before mine. This experience was shocking.

I recently visited KFC in Gilesgate and found the toilets to be extremely dirty. This type of hygiene should not be tolerated in food establishments.

The KFC is well run and clean with friendly staff. But it really needs a drive through. There is plenty of space around the building so should not be a problem. Although the staff do say that the houses over the other side of the busy noisy road, have objected to previous planning permission for a drive through at KFC, based on it may cause noise from car engines ????

Suprised at how nice the food was here, dont eat kfc often but sometimes can be disapointed, not this time , the chicken was freshly cooked and piping hot, not greasy and sides fresh and tasty too.
