We organized a family event at this restaurant in October for a wedding reception. The staff was friendly and helpful, the buffet provided was abundant and delicious, and the venue was clean, neat, and reasonably priced. Everything was perfect. View all feedback.
What sanddancer106 doesn't like about Crook Golf Club:
Went for a family event, the service was very slow. They had two waitresses on who where bringing out plates one at a time where there was over 100 guests. Half the room where finished for over and hour and half before even the back of the room where served. The food was tasteless. For the money that must have been spent appalling service and quality. Top Sunday dinners and bar menu, well worth a try and won't empty your pockets!! Great view of the 18th whilst having your meal!!
Sunday lunch at Crook Golf Club, in County Durham UK was a real treat both times we went. We were seated on the small balcony, it's a bit narrow, but worth it for the fantastic view over the course, especially the first time we went when all the trees were in their autumn colours. There is no menu, the waitress will tell you what is available. There was a choice of roasts: pork, chicken or tender beef, all of which came with Yorkshire pudding, roast boiled potatoes, cabbage, mashed swede, carrots mushy peas, a gravy boat, stuffing with the chicken and a choice of condiments, all this for £4.95! There was a great selection of puds, including sticky toffee, chocolate fudge, spotted dick apple pie, there are more, I just can't remember them all, you could choose between ice cream, pouring cream, clotted cream or custard to go with your pud and all for £1.95! I don't know how they do such tasty food for the money. In addition all the staff are all very warm, pleasant helpful. You need to book, but would highly recommend it to anyone. BTW if you are looking for this golf club in Colorado you will be disappointed, it is thousands of miles away in Crook, County Durham, England. I hope this golf club can be moved to the correct country.
The service at this restaurant was really bad. The clubhouse was closed, and the staff in the office seemed uninterested. However, they did apologize professionally. The shop was well-stocked, but the course was just okay. I wouldn't return as there are plenty of other clubs that offer better service.
