Lovely tearoom with plenty of tables inside and some outside. Handily placed for walks through Beamish woods and nearby Tanfield railway. Very dog friendly dogs are allowed inside the cafe and there is water available and dogs are treated to a sausage as well. Nice Hot Chocolate, Hot Drinks are good. Food very disappointing, the kids pasta was just a plain tin of tomato’s on top. No proper pasta sauce. The scones were dry and unimpressive for £3.20 each. Sandwiches just on normal sliced bread, nothing special. Expensive for what it was, shame as lovely cosy location, nice fire on! Bit more effort on the food and would be a nice spot. Stick to drinks only if you visit. View all feedback.
Our visit to this restaurant was not the best. I ordered the corned beef pie dinner, while my wife ordered mince and dumplings. Unfortunately, her meal was only warm and mine was cold. When she sent it back, all we got was a simple apology from the young server. It may be a while before we consider going back there.
Welcoming, great for dog owners, away from very fast and busy main road. Gluten dietary understanding somewhat patchy.

What a great place to have a chill and rest after a walk around Causey Arch. The americano was actually hot and a good size mug. A very tasty bacon and egg sandwich and scone. Can highly recommend. It has just changed ownership and Craig and his team are very welcoming. You have got to visit!
Cracking little cafe with fabulous wholesome food and excellent cakes,. aA little gem. We love to pop in when in the area.
