Many of the reviews on here are outdated and thus ill informed. Since the revamp of both the cafe and the menu I find the staff cheery and helpful if at times overworked. The menu is more basic now but the prices are very cheap...and the quality of the food very good especially the range of homemade pizza! View all feedback.
What Lancestrian doesn't like about Asda Cafe:
There is no denying that this in-store cafe is very good value and the the staff keep it nice and clean. However, it is so noisy that it is not a place to relax or have a conversation without raising your voice. I think the problem must be the low ceiling and lack of any acoustic damping. Total joke, they offer scrambled fried and poached eggs but when you ask for scrambled eggs they say they don't have the facilities to make them. If you can't scramble a couple of eggs you have absolutely no business being in a kitchen. False advertising...if you offer something on your menus but refuse to serve it to your customers. The only slightly healthy option on menu and they refuse to serve it.
Asda curry meals used to the best, but now they are muffy and tasteless. they now have to do with cheap foods and ingredients to make this waste. we will never buy this witness again.
It's only been half an hour since I've eaten here. Pizza slice, fries, coke, and a small cookie dough Ben Jerry's. Result I'm now with a poorly gut and feeling sick with a horrible aftertaste. Guess my evening will be spent hugging the...toilet bowl. Never again will I go back in that cafe. Really has gone downhill. Doesn't even deserve one star.
Thought I would grab a bacon and sausage bap while I was in store as had a busy morning ahead. NEVER again, had to wait for staff as there was no one at the till as she was busy eating out of sight and eventually...came to the till sitting chewing her food. Paid £2 to which I received a stale bun 1 small bit of bacon and one sausage which wasnt even cut in half it was just thrown in. Next time I will just buy the stuff from Asda and make my own as I definitely will not be going back to the cafe.
Might be value for money but jacket potatoes are disgusting spoilt nice place with tradional meals to quite unhealthy choices not everyone eat pizza.s plus some of staff are not nice seen one member staff shout at someone man turned said lm deaf was no...apolgie or nothing
