My first time. Good food. I liked the gravy a lot. Very meaty almost like beef stew. Original chicken was very crispy and flavorful. Try it with the hot sauce. Service was not so great. Took a long time and they got wrong several orders while I was there. View all feedback.
A few minutes later, someone brought out a small individual portion of mashed potatoes, which I sent back since I had ordered a family-sized portion. This seemed to upset the staff, as one worker displayed a rude attitude, rolling her eyes and making a scene. However, the person at the window was really nice and appeared embarrassed by their coworker's behavior. It almost felt like the slow drive-thru was a tactic to make them appear busier than they actually were, similar to how nightclubs create lines. I sincerely hope they have a better day soon and find a faster way to serve their chicken in the future.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, even with a steady stream of hungry customers both in the restaurant and at the drive-thru. They made regular rounds in the lobby to check if anyone needed anything. I ordered a 3-piece chicken tender combo and was pleasantly surprised to find I received more than three pieces. I'm not sure if this was intentional or a mistake, but I certainly appreciated it! The pricing was comparable to any other fast food place these days, so there weren't any downsides there. Overall, the Cottage Grove Popeyes exceeded my expectations, and the long lines and wait times are absolutely worth it!
This was my first visit, and I really enjoyed the food. The gravy was particularly good—very hearty, almost like a beef stew. The original chicken was crispy and packed with flavor; I definitely recommend trying it with the hot sauce. However, the service left a bit to be desired. It took a long time, and there were several mix-ups with orders during my stay.
