We had dinner once on the restaurant side, and once on the pub side. Menu is same for both. Decent wine selection. Good ale. Closed for dinner Mondays and Tuesdays. Food was very good, our entire family was happy with meals. Both pub and restaurant... View all feedback.
What Dave Cross doesn't like about The Great Western Arms:
The advertised opening times on google are incorrect. We walked over from Moreton today, lovely walk and arrived just before 3pm gagging for a pint…… To find a sign on the door saying “Open at 5pm”. Saved by the village shop who also sell beer! View all feedback.
We visited here whilst staying in the area. Food and drinks are great and worth a visit.
We visited for the first time and would certainly return . The service was friendly and the food was first rate, good value and very generous helpings.
A lovely welcoming traditional really good place to stop. Quality food served and a lovely atmosphere.
To begin with, the service is impeccable and very attentive and friendly. The local beers are delicious and the food very well made and quality, made with enough love. The atmosphere is quite pleasant, local with few frills and quite minimalistic and with certain decorative elements that seem taken from any decoration store. Really a highly recommended pub for dinner and a few beers. We liked it a lot.
I really enjoyed it. I stopped for a quick meal on my way home and was impressed by the warm welcome and delicious food. This will now be my go-to place to take a break on my way home. The traditional pub has been nicely renovated and is very charming.
