Mulberry - Cotswold
Mulberry
Description
The Mulberry restaurant offers a mixed experience - some diners feel that the food and service have declined since a change in ownership, while others praise the beautiful old building and exceptional food. Despite some flaws in the attention to detail and service, the 8 course taster menu and sommelier-chosen wine pairings are highlights for guests looking for a unique dining experience. The relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, and diverse menu options make it a great choice for special occasions, such as anniversaries or Sunday lunches. Overall, the Mulberry restaurant is a solid choice for those willing to overlook some imperfections for a memorable meal.

The Mulberry Restaurant is for groups, but there is a perfectly good restaurant inside and out for couples. The service was welcoming, efficient, and professional. The menu choice were good and the food was very well presented and prepared.
Here with a large group and couldn't have been more impressed with all staff. Food was excellent, fresh and well-prepared. Service was exceptional. Nick was on the run taking care of everything with style and accuracy. Even took our picture! Really appreciated his hard work throughout the evening.
Very nice food, excellent service and a lovely looking restaurant. Had a great meal here. Worth 5 stars but minus one for the automatic 12.5% service charge that was added to the bill.
The hotel and gardens are decorated and maintained so beautifully and the hotel is comfortable, warm and cosy throughout. The Christmas decorations and roaring fires were so lovely in a cold December. All the staff across Reception, the Bar, the Restaurant etc were an absolute delight. The breakfasts were also delicious. We took our 6-month old puppy and there were many sweet touches for him such as as a dog bed and bowl ready in the room and a 'doggy sausage ' at breakfast each morning. We were in a newly refurbished Cotswold double and it was decorated beautifully and was very comfortable. The only slight downside is that, likely because it 's such an old building, the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbours very clearly. This is the only reason i haven 't given it the full 5 stars (I would give this 4.5 stars if Google allowed). It wouldn 't stop me staying here again, I 'd just take ear plugs next time. Brilliant location to explore Bourton on Water, Daylesford, Broadways, the Slaughters etc. Highly recommend staying here. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5
