Zum Moritz - Coswig

This restaurant is one of the gems in Coswig's gastro scene. Went there with my parents, who live nearby and know most restaurants nearby very well but had not been in this place previously. I had a delicious 'Steak au four' with French Fries (referred to as Pommies in this area) and plenty of salad. The pork steak was cooked to perfection and the Ragout Fin topping was well presented. I also got a glass of Eschenauer Merlot, a full bodied red that complements well with meaty dishes. My parents had a Duck Leg and Salmon Ragout, respectively, and both looked very happy with their dishes. The interior of 'Zum Moritz' is unassuming and the service is attentive and friendly. They played some Christmas music in the background, but it was not very loud so did not get annoying. (Christmas is over soon anyway). Would love to come back some day. They also seem to have beer garden which may be worth a visit in spring or summer.

The dining room is relatiw small, but nicely furnished. the decoration was at our visit christian and harmonious.The quality of the food was surprisingly good. we have visited many locals during our stay in the room / coswig, but the moritz was clearly the best choice.The service was absolutely in order. the operation was somewhat undercooled, but that didn't change anything at the very good overall impression. a recommendation without restriction !

We were eating for a birthday party in the "zum moritz". in front of the local there are sufficient parking possibilities. the facility is well maintained and easy. the orderings were taken up flott, but we had to wait partly for quite a long time for the drinks. eating is good civic and tasty, the portion size is sufficient. there was even live music.

Very nice staff, especially children opposite. dine and drink for everyone from the finest. you can only recommend.
