While some guests had reservations, they experienced long waits for tables and felt that the service did not match the prices. Despite some service issues, the restaurant is spacious, well-ventilated, and has a visible kitchen. Dishes like grilled octopus, whole black bass, oysters, uni, shrimp scampi, and clams with chorizo were delicious. The fried soft shell crabs with watermelon salad were a standout. The key lime pie was also highly recommended. Overall, guests were impressed with the quality of the food and quick service, with some highlighting the exceptional service provided by servers like Javier and Sean. Despite some minor hiccups, the Water Grill is a popular choice for seafood lovers and is definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is always my top choice for a fabulous lunch. They prioritize exceptional service and offer the finest seafood and beef. Plus, I adore the convenient location across from South Coast Plaza.
The service was fantastic and there was a great variety of dishes to share. The key lime pie was outstanding!
Overall, our dining experience was enjoyable, but we were disappointed with the slow service in the kitchen. Unfortunately, our food took too long to be delivered. Our waiter was excellent, but there was little he could do to improve the situation.
